Lake Forest Park Amenity:  The Burke-Gilman Trail Has Been Renovated!

lake forest park homes for sale

Lake Forest Park neighborhood boasts being one of the lucky Seattle waterfront neighborhoods that has the provelidge of having  the Burke-Gilman Trail running through it!  …As if being situated on the banks of Lake Washington is not enough with the endless Lake Washington views, never mind the Cascades, too.

The Burke-Gilman trail has been closed since  6/15 and was supposed to open 12/15 but was 2 months late and more than double over budget but now is a sweet ride. Two feet wider plus gravel path on each side, hundreds of trees and their roots removed.  It was an agonizing 8 months waiting for it to open but now it was all worthwhile.  Come check it out and let us know if you have questions about Lake Forest Park homes for sale or need other Lake Forest Park real estate or neighborhood info.

Our Cooper Jacobs Real Estate Brokers are experts in their own neighborhoods and look forward to showing you Cedar Park.   elaine@cooperjacobs.com

Lake Forest Park Gem: The Burke-Gilman Trail

Lake Forest Park’s segment of the Seattle Burke-Gilman Trail seems to always be in the news  - speed

limits, radar guns, salmon considerations, right of ways, etc….

The Burke-Gilman Trail is part of Seattle’s larger Urban Trails System and a beautiful segment of it happens to travel along Lake Washington right through Lake Forest Park.

The Burke-Gilman Trail travels all the way from North Beach in Ballard to Kenmore with only one small missing link around the Locks in Ballard.  It is part of the Cheshiahud Loop (Lake Union Loop) as well. Many people like to commute via bike on the trail and the Lake Forest Park segment is quite nice because of the abundance of trees.  Here is a great map of the Burke-Gilman Trail:  http://www.seattle.gov/transportation/burkegilmantrailmaps.htm
