Lake Forest Park Farmer's Market

Lake Forest Park has one of the nicer Farmer’s Markets around for Seattle Suburbs and even for Seattle neighborhoods!

Rain or shine the Lake Forest Park Farmer’s Market runs through October 10th on Sundays form 11Am to 4PM.  It is a visual treat and the smells coming off the fresh produce and flowers are amazing.  Even in the rain, the Lake Forest Park Farmer’s Market is a hit.

You can find it on the Lower Level Parking Lot towards the Lake Washington side of the parking lot at the Lake Forest Park Town Centre.  Come enjoy one of your communities wonderful amenities (Photos for this post courtesy of Elaine Sandbeck, Lake Forest Park Realtor, all rights reserved)!

The 8th Annual Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park

Don’t miss the 8th annual Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park Garden Fair and Garden Tour on June 19th!

Lake Forest Park is actually quite famous for this tour now – even before the official Secret Gardens Tour, people were organizing to look at gardens all over Lake Forest Park. There are some spectacular hidden gems among the city’s gardens. The Garden Fair – Plant Sale begins at 9AM on the 19th and goes until 4PM with Ciscoe broadcasting his gardening program live from the fair. There will also be vendors offering plants and gardening items for sale. The Garden Fair will be held in the lower portion of the Lake Forest Park Towne Centre and will go until 4PM.

While the Garden Fair portion of the is going on, the actual Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park tour will also begin starting at 10AM. There will be artists and musicians performing as well to add ambience at each of the five Lake Forest Park home stops along the Garden Tour. You can buy tickets ahead of time via Paypal on the official Secret Gardens of Lake Forest Park website for $12 each or you can also purchase them for $15 each (cash or check only) at the Garden Fair on the day of the tour. There will be master gardeners on hand to answer your questions.

This is a great city wide event and worth it just to see some of the gorgeous Lake Forest Park Homes – Ciscoe Morris is a real perk as well in my opinion. Let us know if you are a gardener and interested in a Lake Forest Park home for sale that might offer you some of the exquisite gardening space that some of the gems on tour have. There are a lot of great options right now for the gardening enthusiast if they are interested in Lake Forest Park Real Estate.

Lake Forest Park Towne Centre Ace

Lake Forest Park WA Ace Hardware in the Towne Centre is pretty nice: Enjoy a very much needed fully stocked hardware store which is nicely showcased on the center of the North East upper Lake Forest Park Mall.  The new Ace has some great stuff and the displays are quite attractive – great use of space here – go check it out! We were pretty pleased to be able to easily run down the street and grab a wide variety of items we needed to get our latest LFP listing on the market.

You can have your breakfast at the Honey Bear Bakery inside Third Place Books and then wander over to pick up all the tools you need for getting your household chores done, or stop by after a delicious lunch at Great Harvest.  Lake Forest Park Towne Centre is definitely a one stop shopping trip for you now!

This local Lake Forest Park bread company offers up a lot more than bread and has some great eat in options with amazing soups of the day (Today’s soup is Broccoli Cheddar) and a made to order sandwich bar among other fabulous items.

So to the bread:  Great Harvest puts out a bread schedule and bakes all of their normal staples daily, but also adds some variety by adding specialty breads using a daily schedule – for instance, today’s specialty bread for July is Apple Crunch, Cherry Berry Bread, Dakota, Gluten Free Bread, Swedish Rye, and Whole Grain Sourdough.  On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, Great Harvest has gluten free breads and on Fridays they have hamburger buns.
